Things You Should Prepare for Virtual Meetings
It has been over a year into the pandemic now. But yet, it has still been a struggle for many of us who are trying to adjust our lives to the new norm. For many people, it may be their first time setting up a workspace at home for an extended period of time. Virtual meetings have become our main way of communicating with others now.

An Electronic Device
Before joining a zoom meeting, you would obviously need an electronic device! The majority of us will probably already have at least one electronic device of some sort, be it a mobile phone or a computer. So, don’t forget to have your devices fully charged beforehand. You also want to make sure that they are in good condition. The last thing you want is for technology to fail on you in the middle of your meeting!
A Professional Working Space
When you’re in a meeting with your coworkers, managers, or clients, the virtual environment becomes part of your personal brand. Hence, it is important to create a clean, separate, and presentable work space. Even if you live in a small space, it is still possible for you to create a professional setting. That could mean shifting your work space to any part of your living space that is quiet and has better lighting!
A Quick Sip and a Bite to Eat
Ok, now that you have your electronic devices and work space ready to go, what else do you need? A drink and some snacks, maybe? Virtual meetings can go on for an extended period of time so it would be a good idea to have a light meal before your meeting and a drink at your workspace to keep yourself hydrated throughout the meeting. Personally, we’d recommend a cup of coffee and a sandwich.

A Handy Notebook and Pen
How can you join a meeting without a notebook and pen? Don’t forget to have these with you at all times to jot down any important information throughout the meeting as well as your to-do-list of the day. The last thing you want is to forget any tasks that you have been asked to do!
Even though things are not like before, we should be thankful and always remember that life should still go on as normal and that we have to make out the best that we can with the situation in hand. It can be stressful having to deal with the current situation and balancing work as well, so keep a positive mindset when working from home. Take a breather if necessary! Do anything that you know can help your brain give that pump of dopamine to your body.
