Rachel Cha | Get To Know WILD Talents

Hi Rachel! Tell us a little more about yourself!

Rachel: Hi guys! My name is Rachel Cha, and I’m a 21 year old living here in Seoul, South Korea for the first time. Ever since I moved to Korea, I’ve been sharing my whole journey on YouTube. I show the new experiences I’ve encountered, the friends I’ve made along the way, and the growth I’ve undergone as I continue to explore Korea. Moving forward, I want to continue showing the life of a normal girl in her 20s growing up and making the most out of her stay here in Korea, reconnecting with her roots.

What does a typical day in your week look like?

Rachel: My schedule changes almost every week, but I’m either working at my day job as an English teacher, or I’m busy running around, filming for my next video! I also try to sneak in some exercise and editing time whenever I can, and end the night watching a couple episodes of the latest Netflix shows I’m hooked on! Though, it has been hard for me to film with the pandemic going on in South Korea right now, but I try my best to create content for my viewers!

What is your most memorable memory of your career so far?

Rachel: I think it was when I met a young fan for the first time here in Korea! She came to Seoul for a vacation and visited the places I went to in my vlogs. I got the chance to meet her and her mom in person, and it was truly touching how someone so young looked up to me. The experience continues to inspire me to be the best person I can be today, and create more interesting content for my subscribers!

What would you say is the best part about your career as a content creator so far?

Rachel: The best part is being able to freely express and share the process of change in my life. I sometimes look back at my older vlogs and think to myself about how crazy it is to have grown so much within a short period. I’m excited to look back at the same videos and future ones many years down the road to see how my life continues to change.

What advice would you give to somebody who wants to try creating content online?

Rachel: Take the time to figure out what you want to do! There’s no right or wrong answer when it comes to creating content, it’s just a matter of what works for you. Never be afraid to try new ideas; just have fun with what you do! As long as you are comfortable with what you create, the end results will be worth it!

Last question! If you could go back in time and change one thing, what would it be?

Rachel: Don’t laugh at me but I wish I stretched more back when I was younger. Maybe then, I would be an inch taller now…
