Ben Tang | Get to know WILD Talents

Introduce yourself to our readers out there who might not already know you!

Ben: Hi guys! I’m Ben Tang from Singapore. I create content mainly on YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok.

What does a typical day in your week look like? Do you explore a lot in Singapore?

Ben: To be honest, I don’t really explore much around, especially with the pandemic situation that is still going on. For now, I spend most of my time at home. I’m usually either planning and creating content, or playing games. And, if I do leave the house, it’s usually to go to the gym.

Who has been your greatest support in your life and career?

Ben: My seniors, my company, and especially, my mum. She has always been very supportive of me and what I do. I’m grateful to have her as well as the people around me that have helped me throughout my life and career.

What would you say has been the best part of your career, so far?

Ben: I would say, being able to create content that I enjoy, having that as part of my career is probably one of the best parts of my career as a content creator. And, being able to reach out and connect with other content creators and my audience from different cultures, all around the world.

Also, being offered the chance to represent and work with various brands like Coach, Calvin Klein, and so many more!

Please give us the top 3 of your recent most listened to songs!

Ben: Recently, I’ve been listening to “50 feet” by SoMo, “You” by Melomance, and “Strawberries and Cigarettes” by Troy.

Lastly, before we end, what advice would you give to people out there who aspire to become content creators? What do you think they should know before they decide to become a creator?

Ben: Many people think that being a content creator is an easy job. But, in fact, it’s far from that. People don’t always see the time and effort that we put behind the scenes, in order to create quality content for our platforms; The time that we invest in to come up with new, and interesting content ideas; The emotions that we go through when people tell us that our content is not good enough. I would say, if you’re considering creating content as a career, never be afraid of failure.

Throughout my career, I’ve learned that things may not always go the way that you plan and picture it in your head but just keep trying and continue creating content that you love and have fun! Enjoy the process and learn from your peers.
